Farewell PCS Families!

It is so very hard to say goodbye after four sweet years teaching such wonderful students, working alongside such wonderful colleagues and parents! I will miss you all so much and will not quickly forget all the good times and all that we have been through together! In these four years, I've had the privilege of seeing students grow and develop, meeting new students, and sharing the joy of music with siblings and families. We've been through the chaos of school closures, online learning, and reopening due to COVID-19 restrictions. We've had the joy of Winter and Spring Concerts, as students have shared their excellent accomplishments in musical understanding and expression. And I experienced an outpouring of kindness and support from the whole TLC family as my family walked through the stillbirth of our son, Josiah, in 2020, and more recently as I walked through the long road of recovery from complicated pneumonia and surgeries this Spring.

It has been a joy to teach these students, and I'm so excited for them to keep making music next year with Ms. Boyd!

Next year, I will be teaching music at Julia Morgan Elementary School in Stockton, just a half mile from my home. I'm excited to bike to work and get home to my wife, Amanda, and kiddos (Jadon, 13; Julia, 5; Jeremiah, 2) sooner, dodging the afternoon traffic.

My chief hope and prayer for our four years together is that the love of Christ has been reflected in my love for you all, in spite of my own weaknesses. I hope and pray that you too would know the joy and peace of being reconciled to God through Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God. He became a man, lived a perfect life, and suffered the penalty due for our disobedience to God, dying on the cross and rising three days later, to exchange His righteousness for the guilt of all who trust in Him. He taught that He is the only way to eternal life with God, and proved His authority by His resurrection, presenting himself to hundreds of witnesses who attested to the reality of His resurrection.

I would love to stay in touch with anyone who wants to!
Feel free to drop a line or give me a ring.
